The AppsGate Smart Home Prototype

The goal is to empower end-users with programming tools (EUDE) so that they can define the behavior of their home (as opposed to be mere consumers of solutions that do not fit their needs over time). The AppsGate home is a dynamic ecosystem of devices and services that can be assembled in a meaningful way by end-users using a pseudo-natural language.

The AppsGate EUDE prototype has been developed by three complementary research groups (Adele, IIHM, Prima) of Laboratory of Informatics of Grenoble (LIG), funded by the Catrene CA 110 AppsGate project. It has been deployed in 5 family homes as well as in 5 homes of the development staff.
